What if I'm not a very fast runner? - Our Beginner 5k clinic is geared toward the beginner or novice runner or for those who have been away from running for an extended period. This hands-on clinic focuses on run form, biomechanics, speed, agility and how to run improve your run skills. If you've been running regularly but lack speed skills, the Intermediate Run Clinic would be a better choice.
IÕm nervous about always being the last runner. Will I be holding the group back? - No, you won't hold anyone back. The way the program is designed, you won't ever feel like you are the last runner. Everyone is very encouraging and supportive. There is no competition among clinic attendees. You'll build muscular strength and endurance, build confidence and improve your run skills.
I'm training for an upcoming race - how will I know whether I'm progressing in the right direction? - Run clinics are kept to a minimum to allow the coach to work more closely with each athlete moving them forward as efficiently and effectively as possible toward their goals. Detailed training workouts are given between clinic sessions that are specific to each individual athlete based on their goals, fitness level and ability.
I'm preparing for a triathlon and I'm a lousy runner - can the clinic help me overcome my issues with running? - Unlike some clinics and camps, space in our clinics is kept to a minimum so the coach is able to work closely with each individual athlete to help them overcome physical and mental barriers that might limit performance.
